The hotel's rooms vary in size; 80% are medium and 20% are large. Some rooms have been renovated in modern, simple style with light green/neutral colors. However, many rooms are very basic and would benefit from redecoration. Some floors are in better shape than others.
There are two restaurants at the hotel.
The lobby is extremely large and bustling with activity. It has recently undergone renovation and has been restored to its former traditional style. The lobby is very grand, with high ceilings and marble floors. The lobby also has a newsstand and gift shop and restaurant.
The hotel's midtown Manhattan location provides guests with convenient access to all the city's attractions and major shopping areas; only one block away is Macy's Herald Square. It is the most popular hotel with the international traveller on a budget. (0207/MR)
